History
Consistent Growth
EFC International, Inc. was founded in 1983 by Douglas F. Adams in response to the growing demand for distributors of specialty engineered component parts and specialty fasteners. With corporate headquarters in St. Louis and branches in Chicago and Atlanta, EFC is able to provide its customer across the country with EFC's distinct services.
Commitment to Our Customers
From the beginning, we realized that service is paramount to EFC’s success. This commitment mandated that our facilities operate as full-service warehouses: providing customers with expert sales and engineering support, bar-coding incoming and outgoing shipments, providing lot traceability, utilizing the latest quality assurance techniques, and offering EDI and numerous other customer-valued services.
Quality is top priority at EFC International. In 1993, we pushed industry standards certification to the forefront of EFC’s goals. This goal was achieved a year later in 1994 when our facilities became ISO 9002 and OFI 9002. And in 1998 another goal was met when EFC became QS 9000 certified. We are registered with BSI America, with our certification based on continuing assessments. EFC recently just completed registration to ISO 9001:2000. Contracted services required to obtain accredidation will remain with BSI.
Your Source Not Your Competitor™
In response to the evolving needs of its customers and the changes in the fastener industry, EFC’s management perceived that the application engineering role between fastener manufacturer and end-user was not being filled. Concentrating on specialized engineered fasteners, and organizing and training a technically oriented marketing team, we set out to fill that void.
Today, we service the OEM marketplace, either directly, or through the OEM’s integrated inventory management source. Our 350 plus partnerships with Systems Integration Distributors provide our customers with superior technical support and other application engineering services to insure that the OEMs are apprised of all new and existing fastener concepts.
Looking Ahead
Our commitment to the fastening industry continues through strategic partnership programs, target marketing programs, and our investment in cutting-edge technology. We participate in all facets of the fastener industry for a dual purpose: to meet the needs of our customers, and to shape the future of the fastener industry.
