Demanding applications demand higher level solutions. The new IDEAL® WeatherProof™ and UnderGround™ wire connectors are designed specifically for damp, wet or direct burial electrical connections. Pre-filled with silicone, both connectors come in a complete wire range and meet the rigorous requirements of UL 486D.
The WeatherProof™ connectors can be used with confidence in interior and exterior applications where exposure to moisture is likely. Typical applications include exterior lighting, basement/garage circuits, outdoor power outlets, bathroom and spa vent/exhaust fans and any other application in which rain, high humidity or condensation might be a factor.
The UnderGround™ connectors can be used without a junction box and in many cases eliminates the need for heat-shrink, resin packs or multi-piece corrosion kits. They’re perfect for decorative landscape lighting, lawn sprinkler control systems, sump and well pump installations and many other direct burial applications.
