EFC's Spring Catches were originally developed for use on aircraft access doors, inspection panels, sealing strips and other similar assemblies requiring repeated disengagement. Due to their versatility, they are now used extensively in other fields where they secure kitchen cabinet doors, removable toe plates, electronic cabinets, protective covers, etc.
There is no direct contact between the stud and panel surfaces, which eliminates wear or chipping of painted or porcelained surfaces and resulting corrosion. Ideal where adjustability or wide latching ranges are required, the serrated versions are used mainly for attaching compressionable materials such as rubber, fabric, insulation, etc. Pull-out tensions can be provided from 3.5 to 50-65 pounds.MATERIALS: All parts are heat treated Spring Steel; Stainless Steel is also available. Studs - low carbon steel unless otherwise specifiedFINISHES: Various.*Please contact EFC-INTL for additional information.
