BOLTS FOR PLASTICS - RIVSCREW® THREADED RIVETS

Product Description

Rivscrew® Threaded Rivets are removable steel fasteners that combine the speed of rivet placement with the removability of a screw, and are specifically for hard and soft plastic assembly requirements.


These coarse-threaded blind fasteners are currently available in two 4.80mm diameter versions with grip ranges of 2.80 - 6.60 and 2.80mm - 11.50mm, with more sizes planned.

Features and Benefits

• Can be applied at the rate of 60 per minute
• Can be removed and inserted with a hex key up to five times with no reduction in performance
• Up to six times faster to install than self-tapping screws and nut, or screw and washer assemblies
• Provide a controlled clamp load
• Can be installed with a wide variety of purpose designed tools, including semi-automatic and fully automated systems
• Expand radically during installation to form a thread in the host material.

MATERIALS: Low Carbon Steel to BS 3111 Type o SAE 1008; DIN 1654 QST 34-3
FINISH: Zinc plated to BS 3382 and yellow passivated to BS 6338
