BOLTS FOR METAL - THREAD FORMING MAG-FORM®

Product Description

Mag-Form® thread-forming fasteners are specially designed to compress strong threads in the nut material, eliminate separate tapping operations and minimize debris generation even after removal from and reinstallation into magnesium and other low-ductile materials. They are available in sizes M1.6 to M12, in pan and flat head styles.

Features and Benefits

Mag-Form® fasteners are typically used for various automotive magnesium applications, including engines, transmissions, mirrors, pedal brackets, air bags and steering components. In addition, they are used in small engines, power tools and yard equipment, and in electronics such as computers and cell phones, to name a few.

• Lobular configuration
• Broad flank angle compresses, rather than roll-forms, threads into the mating material
• Minimizes debris generation
• Forms strong threads in materials with low ductility
• Easy removal and reinsertion for service in the field
