Product Description

These Asymmetric Worm Gear Clamps w/Integrated Spring add an automatic self adjusting constant tension spring to the 9 or 12mm asymmetric worm drive clamp. Tightening the screw loads the spring with enough clamping force to ensure a long-lasting automatic re-tensioning effect, even in very low temperatures. The self-adjusting radial clamping force achieved makes these ideal for applications under extreme temperature changes (e. g. charged air) or for the retention of hoses with a tendency of "creeping" (hose relaxation). They are particularly suited to connecting cooling and heating hoses.

• Automatic self adjustment when hose relaxes• Increased sealing reliability over wide temperature ranges• Euro-style inner band is stamped, not slotted, to protect the hose from even extreme compression• Patented asymmetrical housing prevents screw head from tilting out when tightened• Short housing saddle provides even pressure around the hose without welding or rivets• Large Diameter Range - hoses of varying diameters can be secured with a single clamp size• Combination Screw - hex, slotted and Phillips, to meet practical needs• Emerging band end is deflected away from the screw head, forming a firm closure without pushing off the socket spanner
