Product Description

Weatherproof Butt Splices provide a rugged, environmentally-sealed connection that will insulate, seal, and protect joints from physical abuse and abrasion, water, salt and other corrosive compounds.

Features and Benefits

The inner wall of the heat-shrinkable nylon sleeve is lined with a special hot-melt adhesive which is inert at room temperature, permitting wires to be inserted easily into the butt splices. Upon heating, the adhesive melts and flows under pressure from the tubing creating a voidless seal. The tough nylon sleeve resists abrasion and cutting. This protection helps to maintain the insulation and sealing properties even in the most hostile environments, and enables them to stand up to some of the most rigorous tests that can be applied to high-performance butt splices, such as the salt fog test Mil-T-7928.
