Comments Off on EFC Receives Outstanding Quality Award from Motus
EFC attended a Motus Supplier Event this week. It was an “Award and Expectations Day” for critical/strategic suppliers to Motus. With 160 global suppliers, they only invited 60 key suppliers to the event.
They reflected on 2022, celebrating their highest-performing suppliers and provided expectations for 2023 and beyond.
The awards are centered around behaviors and EFC was awarded with an “Outstanding Quality” Award. Scoring consisted of shipping over 4,000,000 parts/yr with low PPM. EFC shipped 9,500,000 parts in 2022 to Motus.
Over the last 7 years we have focused on Motus as a target account. Taking them from 1,000,000 parts/yr to 9,500,000 parts/yr in 2022. Our team (Leslie/Mario/Alan/Jose) continues to grow the partnership between EFC International and Motus Integrated Technologies.
Pictured with Leslie Varady is Ricardo Rodriguez Purchasing Manager and James Cinglie Senior Director, Global Supply Chain Mgt. Both provided a huge compliment to EFC for our outstanding quality and truly appreciate EFC as a key partner.

EFC is a proud partner to EV manufacturer, Canoo. As the designated global automotive distribution partner for the world’s most renowned automotive fastener manufacturers, EFC has collaborated on the design review and development process for Canoo’s final fastening design and BOM. It’s exciting to see Canoo in the news knowing our behind-the-scenes support and dedication helped bring it!
As seen in the news recently, Walmart has expanded its last-mile delivery service through their partnership with Canoo and the delivery of 4,500 Canoo Lifestyle Delivery Vehicles. The LDV looks a lot like the Lifestyle Vehicle that Canoo is launching but it features some changes that make it more ideal for fitting cargo. The LDV is using true steer by wire technology, which means the steering wheel has no mechanical connection to the wheels. The LDV includes a modular design and boasts 120 cubic feet of cargo space, which makes it possible to maximize the number of deliveries per trip.
The US Military is also buying a Canoo EV. The US Army asked Canoo to provide a vehicle that will be analyzed for use in operational and garrison environments. “As an American company based in the heartland, it is an honor to be selected by the US Army,” said Tony Aquila, CEO at Canoo.” This is another opportunity to prove our proprietary technology – which is customizable and adaptable for multiple use cases and special environments.”
EFC has provided their engineering expertise and quality fastening solutions for Canoo to create the most technically advanced and cost-effective Electric Vehicle.
