Cage Nuts, also known as "nut retainers," combine the best advantages of spring steel fasteners with the high strength of a multi-threaded nut. Self-retaining, these nuts snap readily into bolt-receiving position at center-panel locations. Their application does not require special tools or skills, eliminating the need for special operations. They can be applied at any convenient spot along the assembly line after painting or porcelainizing, thus eliminating the need for masking or re-taping clogged threads. The nut floats within the spring steel cage more than enough to account for normal build variation. No other line of heavy duty fasteners offers so many advantages for blind location assembly.

Features and Benefits

Features and Benefits

N/A Some additional benefits include:
  • Serviceable parts disassemble easily and reliably
  • Self-retaining feature facilitates an easy installation
  • Cage nuts maintain strong joints that withstand vibrations.
  • Can be customized to meet specific applications
  • Available in two-piece, self-retaining bolt assemblies for applications where it may be advantageous to pre-assemble the bolt to the panel and drive a nut to secure the component. In this way, the component "hangs" from the bolt and allows your hands to be free during assembly operations.
