U-Shaped Bolt Retainers are two-piece, self-retained assemblies consisting of a clip retainer and a bolt. They are easily removed and replaced without damage to the mounting panel. In some applications it may be advantageous to pre-assemble the bolt to the panel and drive a nut to secure the component. In this way, the component "hangs" from the bolt and allows your hands to be free during assembly operations.
